It's noon and you aren’t going on your well deserved lunch break - again. You tell yourself, ''I will just take care of one more email'', or ''I will just finish another task''. You know exactly it won’t be the last one, and yet you ignore the signs. You continue working, drink another coffee. The phone rings; a colleague comes by to chat. You answer, and by the time they leave, you’ve lost your workflow.

Later, long after your colleagues have left, you are still at your desk, slowly getting frustrated with every new notification that pings.
You barely finish all your tasks on time, you feel a short sense of relieve and finally, it’s time to go home. You sigh, leave, and get stuck in traffic. All you want to do is lie down on your couch and forget about the day's stress.
But also at home repeating tasks are awaiting you: making dinner, being present with your family or partner, taking care of the household, bills. The list is long. Your own needs buried somewhere in between.
Once again, someone or something demands your attention, and you’re still overwhelmed and slowly running on empty. If you’re honest with yourself, you aren’t in the mood for anything; you can’t listen to anyone anymore. Even if you try - because you feel guilty if you don’t - you only catch half of what is being said.
Your mind drifts away from private conversations to think about that unfinished task; that annoying email from earlier. You end up scrolling on your phone, tired and again, you are not present.
Finally you go to bed, way too late anyway, only to repeat the entire cycle the next day.

But when will we stop this toxic work-life cycle?

If you recognize yourself in the scenario above, you are definitely not alone.
Everyone struggles, especially when we aren’t sure how to build structure or find support. "Where do I start?" and "How?" are often the hardest questions to answer.
The wrong tools play a major role in this and are often to blame when employees cannot focus at work - leading them to drag their professional struggles home, where they don't belong.

Juggling professional success, mental and physical health, family, friends, hobbies, and daily life is hard work. The truth is, it is completely normal not to be able to manage every single task on a daily basis, and you shouldn’t feel guilty about it. It is fine wanting to relax after a hard day of work. It is only natural to take the weekend off to spend it with your loved once, your favourite hobby, or do nothing at all. Struggling simply reminds us that we are human, and recognizing that taking a breather is a necessity should be normalized, too.
Yet, we often live in toxic work environments that forget we are, in fact, human.

So why not try making our work spaces healthier and make the time we have more accessible? Don’t waste it with unnecessary pings, but actually use it. Change, improvement specifically, doesn’t happen overnight and takes time, but step by step, we can get there.

Taking our work style quiz is meant as an eye-opener - it should point out the obvious patterns in one’s routine that are so easy to be blind to. We aren't simply creating another platform like the hundreds you've seen before. We want to build a space that supports you and provides the right tools so you can regain control over your time and energy, little by little.

Get time for what truly matters to you. Reach your goals at work, or simply finish productively on the clock and come back home with a less crowded mind, to actually enjoy life - whatever that might look like for you.
